Job description
Local machining and tooling company seeking out 1st shift Warehouse Associates!
**Must be able to travel to Agawam, MA for an interview**
Warehouse Associate Duties:
- Ensures a safe working environment by keeping work areas orderly and clear of hazards.
- Receive incoming product and packages via UPS and truck shipments.
- Label and put-away inbound inventory to bin locations and bulk shelving.
- Performs bin maintenance and cycle counts as necessary to maintain RIC inventory accuracy.
- Review vendor packaging and label bin location to help others identify Unit of Measure issues to prevent pulling errors.
- Pull orders to support called in customer pick-ups, UPS and truck shipments.
- Process and input information in company-based computer system which include Freighting completed packages for UPS and truck shipments.
- Operate basic warehouse vehicles. (i.e., electric pallet jack and/or forklift)
- Submit verbal or email requests to supervisor to order supplies and product to ensure continued R.I.C. operations are maintained to service customer orders.
- Provide customer service to internal associates and customers using all tools available including, but not limited to, phone, email and the Internet.
- Provide face to face customer service to called in customer orders, in accordance with company standards to ensure customer satisfaction, account retention and revenue generation.
- Submit Purchase Orders to vendors thru company-based computer system.
- Contact vendors via direct calls or emails to confirm acknowledgements and deliver status of a PO, discrepancies to quantities or damaged shipments.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Warehouse Associate Additional Information:
- Shift: 8am-5pm
- Pay: $15.00/hour increases to $16 after 2 weeks
