Chicopee property management company seeks an experienced Property Maintenance Technician.

Property Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Ensure rental properties are kept in neat and orderly condition by cleaning commons areas, basements, exterior grounds, laundry rooms, and trash collection areas.
Perform routine painting and minor repairs including minor plumbing, screen replacement, smoke and carbon monoxide detector installation and maintenance, and other repairs.
Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, escalating to Property Manager for determination as to the action be taken.
Identify and communicate to supervisor other needed maintenance, repairs, and improvements to building structures and equipment.
Respond to emergency situations at other locations when necessary, during normal working hours and on-call rotation.

Property Maintenance Technician Requirements:

Two years’ equivalent experience in a maintenance position, or a related role.
Demonstrated knowledge of property maintenance, cleaning processes, and performing simple mechanical repairs.
Ability to reach and interpret work orders, instructions, and simple diagrams.
Bilinguel (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
