Order Processing Specialist (Greenfield, MA)

A local window and door manufacturer is looking for an Order Processing Specialist for their growing Greenfield office!

Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday 

$18-18.50/hr, benefits upon Hire-over

Essential Functions of the Order Processing Specialist: 

  • Develop collaborative business relationships with internal and external customers while exhibiting customer service skills.
  • Ability to make decisions to provide the best customer experience. Understand and apply business rules to varying fact situations to make appropriate decisions.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of products, policies and processes to provide solutions for our customer requests.
  • Knowledge of building materials from vendors products, and determining the best source to purchase from, to complete a project.
  • Ensure proper order invoicing and billing.
  • Ability to handle high volume of inbound orders.
  • Review, verify and process all incoming orders accurately, correct as necessary, communicate changes to sales and submit approved customer orders.
  • Responsible for various customer contact with order confirmation for delivery.
  • Ensure all associated supporting documentation is obtained from or provided to Sales, Service, Accounting, Operations and Logistics to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform business transactions related to Installation.
  • Backup for tasks as required; Prepare business transactions and submit reports. Provide as needed daily, weekly or monthly reports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skills with Microsoft Word and Excel is required in order to provide management reports.
  • Must have skills using office equipment such as fax machine, calculator, copier, postage machine and network printer.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Above average math skills to include the ability to accurately calculate figures and totals.
  • Ability to handle conflict, then resolve professionally.
  • Honesty, integrity and ethical performance.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be motivated.
  • Strong phone, customer handling skills as well as follow-up skills.
