Local manufacturing company seeks experienced candidates to assist in the Shipping & Receiving department. Candidates will be responsible for all material shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory and material tracking. This position requires candidates to work with the Manufacturing Manager on orders, establishing a network of common carriers, establishing forecasted material requirements and safety stock inventory levels with regards to usage, price carrying costs and available warehouse space. Candidates must have experience with domestic and international shipping and receiving.
Duties to also include:
-Maintain all logs, records or files, distribute documentation to other departments as directed
-Perform basic pre/post production tasks and lift up to 75lbs
-Coordinate daily shipments with Manufacturing and confirm specified mode of shipping
-Contact common carriers as specified on operations sheets or directed by sales
-Maintain all records/logs required by specific carriers
-Data entry of new material, receipts and physical inventory adjustments into computerized inventory system
